Tentang Pemilu 2019

Biasanya kalau ngga pendirian pabrik, ya gusuran infrastruktur. Apalagi penegakan HAM. Aksi Kamisan masih terus jalan sampai sekarang kok, belum ada solusi sama sekali.

Banyak janjinya yang memang masih belum ditepati. Catat. Belum ditepati ya. Bukan dibohongi. Jangan kepeleset ke mentalitas anak kecil, janji A ya harus ditepati A.

Tapi kalau lawannya masih Prabowo. Ya ga usah mikir. Continue reading “Tentang Pemilu 2019”

RIP: Sherlock, The Coolest Cat in the World

Last week we lost a beloved family member.

His name was Sherlock. And he was our lovable beige bullseye-tabby cat.

Even though Sherlock had been ill with kidney and respiratory problem since the second semester of last year. We were quietly confident that he can live for the next two or three years. The vet ordered us to change his diet to low protein in order to prolong his life, which we duly oblige. And after a while he seemed okay, and adjusting well to the new diet. There was no indication that we also faced a parasite in his blood, a fact only we made aware just a few hours before he died.

Keduanya orang baik, saya yakin.

Winning Eleven: Best movies 2012

It’s almost a new year, and my plan to write at least one entry per month is ruined. No particular reason, other than I’ve got nothing interesting to write. As simple as that.

But I thought a tradition of writing some of the best movies I’ve watch in a year should continue.

I must admit, that I wasn’t able to watch as much movies as I wanted to. Even as I wrote this entry, some movies that could be a contender in this list – I haven’t yet to watch – like the Hobbit for example. Or Cloud Atlas, Django Unchained , etc.

But alas, here’s the list – and I hope you some of it fits in yours as well.

Few things for POSTKARTraveler 2012

POSTKARTRAVELER, a traveling exhibition project.

Ya akhirnya gue ambil aja tulisan jadul gue. Diedit seperlunya – Masih belum kadaluarsa Nov!, tulisan gue timeless! Mwahahaha!

Anyway folks, if you can spare your time, please visit Korean Culture Center at Equity Tower 17th Floor, JL. Jenderal Sudirman Kav. 52-53 (SCBD), Jakarta, 12190, Indonesia. From 23th July – 4th August 2012.

It should be awesome! And below, uhm.. my entries for her project. And of course, all the images are belong to her.

The passing of a legend: Ribut Waidi

Growing up in Semarang, particularly in the 80s, PSIS was the talk of the town. The likes of Ribut, Ahmad Muhariyah, Syaiful Amri, Eryono Kasiha and Budi Wahyono. My family loves our hometown team. My dad, even went to Jakarta to see the final of PSIS vs Persebaya. He recalled that one bonek threw a bag plastic full of piss at him (narrowly missed), but even that doesn’t bother him so much. Why? Because on that day, PSIS won. Continue reading “The passing of a legend: Ribut Waidi”
